  • Act as a consultant and go-to person for key system knowledge in their technology domain; liaison among stakeholders to elicit, organize, evaluate and validate requirements and document detailed system requirements for new and existing systems.
  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions, capture meeting minutes, track action items, report project status, and own project documentation.
  • Provide training and mentoring, perform hands-on activities to develop, tune, maintain, and support nightly processing, reporting, and query capabilities; collaborate with project members to model specifications, diagrams, and flowcharts.

The stated pay range is based on a national average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus-eligible.

CNO Financial Group’s IT team is hiring a Systems Analysis Consultant to lead and support system design requirements for complex, business‑critical systems. This role serves as a trusted consultant and subject matter expert within their technology domain, providing systems expertise across multiple business areas. The Systems Analysis Consultant partners closely with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions and acts as a liaison for scoping, estimation, and solutioning of new systems and system enhancements.

As a Systems Analysis Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in and/or leading the system design requirements for the complex and critical systems in your area. 

  • Independently evaluating complex system requests to define the scope, sizing and requirements to implement.

  • Serving as a consultant and ‘go to’ person for key system knowledge in their technology domain. 

  • Formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business solutions and business requirements.

  • Working as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, organize, evaluate and validate requirements for changes to systems.

  • Documenting detailed system requirements for new and existing systems.  

  • Reviewing business requirements with various business and technology stakeholders.

  • Holding requirements gathering sessions, capturing meeting minutes, following up on action items, reporting project status, and owning project documentation

  • Training, mentoring, and acting as a technical resource for colleagues with less experience such as System Analysts and Sr System Analysts

  • Performing hands-on activities to develop, tune, maintain, and support nightly processing, reporting, and query capabilities to ensure a high performing system.

  • Collaborating with project members to develop and model specifications, diagrams and flowcharts.

  • Recommending new system functionality and typically leading upgrade planning; performing major system enhancements and supporting new product development.

The Systems Analysis Consultant position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Have strong knowledge of IT systems and corresponding business applications.

  • Can act as a technical thought leader in a critical business application area.

  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively to IT and business leaders to support decision making.

  • Are adept at conducting research into system and technology related issues independently to identify potential resolutions and implement desired resolution.

  • Have solid technical knowledge of IT business systems (including corresponding applications) and how they integrate with corresponding business area supported.

  • Are able to build on knowledge of the organization, its processes, and customers to provide recommendations regarding system solutions. 

  • Work well as a part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

  • Typically requires a minimum of five to seven years of related work experience as a systems analyst, business analyst, programmer, etc.

  • Prior experience working with large global delivery teams supporting and developing mission critical applications (offshore delivery model).

  • Prior experience serving as a systems analysis lead for technical integrations, partnering with architects and developers to define API‑based integration requirements, data mappings, error handling, and end‑to‑end workflows.

  • Prior Agile delivery experience including relevant certifications (Agile, Scrum, SAFe, etc.).

  • Prior experience supporting Marketing and/or Sales technology initiatives.

Compensation

Pay Range: $89,100.00 - $133,700.00 Annual
