  • Lead, mentor, and oversee other consultants; guide clients through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and client requirements
  • Drive tactical direction of project workstreams; identify dependencies and ensure interplay between workstreams; engage the client through all phases to ensure a smooth transfer from legacy systems to Workday HCM
  • Demonstrate hands-on expertise, including loading client data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, configuring business processes and security; map data sources into data conversion templates via iLoads

Job description

The HCM Senior Principal Consultant will “bridge the gap” between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a Workday product expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing and implementation.

  • Reinforces company policies and procedures to others.

  • Drives and makes decisions regarding tactical direction of project workstreams.

  • Identifies dependencies and supports interplay between different workstreams within a project.

  • Leads, mentors, and oversees the work of other Consultants within their projects. 

  • Guide the client through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the client’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project.

  • Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCM solution.

  • Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.

  • Display your hands-on expertise of the software, including iLoading client data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.

  • Utilize your technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates via iLoads.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of Workday functional implementation experience, required.

  • Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines. 

  • Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage customer expectations.

  • Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed.
