What is the opportunity?

This role offers a dynamic opportunity to lead the seamless on-boarding experience for large group cases (50+ lives) within RBC Group Insurance, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction through strategic project management and cross-functional collaboration. As the primary point of contact, you will drive the end-to-end implementation process—from gathering critical submission documents to coordinating with Underwriting, Client Services, Sales, and external partners—to resolve complexities and secure approvals before final submission. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is committed to delivering impactful results in a collaborative, service-driven culture.

What will you do?

  • Manage all new large case and new product submissions requests from Sales Consultant, Advisors and Client Relationship Specialist.

  • Applies extensive in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to perform complex assignments

  • Work in partnership with regional offices, Regional VP and Sales Team to develop positive and effective business relationships with clients, 3rd party distribution and advisors across Canada.

  • Work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues, where advanced business acumen and/or an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, with limited guidance

  • Provide best practices for new case and add a new product submission including gathering group master application, Advisor Compensation Form and census data. 

  • Demonstrates initiative and applies concepts, while exercising effective interpersonal, communication, training, and problem-solving skills to optimize each interaction with Sales Consultant, Advisors, Clients and other internal/external partners. 

  • Regularly exercises independent judgment on matters of significance within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions/approaches

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 7-10 years of experience in group insurance, underwriting support, or a related client relationship management field

  • Post secondary degree (Bachelor)

  • Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to partner effectively with different teams (e.g., underwriters, sales, and operations) while managing competing priorities

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset to ensure accuracy in documentation, data entry, and process execution

  • Balanced relationship-building skills, fostering trust and clear communication across cross-functional teams

Nice-to-have

  • Project management certification (PMI)

  • CEBS

  • Underwriting knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Systems and Applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook), with the ability to efficiently manage data, documentation, and workflow
