What you'll do...:
The People & Culture Business Partner (PCBP) supports the Strategy & Operations organization by partnering with leaders and associates to apply People & Culture (P&C) programs and practices effectively. This role supports managers across Operations & Technology, Product Engineering, Data Science & Analytics, Corporate Strategy, and Customer Care to deliver consistent people processes, strengthen team effectiveness, and support a positive associate experience.
The PCBP brings working knowledge of core HR practices, solid judgment, and the ability to manage work independently. They build trusted relationships, use data and guidance from Centers of Excellence (COEs), and help leaders translate business needs into practical people actions.
Day to day you'll...
- Partner with managers across Strategy & Operations teams to understand people needs and provide consultative support, connecting them to the right P&C resources, tools, and processes.
- Own execution of core P&C programs for the supported teams (e.g., performance cycles, talent reviews, onboarding, and development) by driving timelines, communications, manager enablement, and follow-through.
- Coach managers on core people topics (e.g., performance management, feedback, engagement, development plans, and team effectiveness) using established P&C frameworks; escalate complex situations as needed.
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning and organization changes by analyzing options, preparing materials, coordinating communications, and supporting change adoption in partnership with COEs.
- Apply job architecture and role clarity frameworks by partnering with managers to document roles, support leveling conversations, and maintain role profiles/career resources in coordination with COEs.
- Handle routine associate relations topics (policy questions, manager concerns, basic documentation) and partner with Associate Relations and/or Legal for complex or sensitive matters; help ensure consistent communication and follow-up.
What you'll bring to the team...:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 4+ years of HRBP or HR generalist experience supporting leaders in a large, matrixed organization; able to partner across functions and P&C COEs to deliver consistent people practices.
- Working knowledge of job architecture concepts (e.g., role clarity, leveling, career paths) and comfort using structured frameworks and documentation.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment; able to learn new processes quickly, manage multiple priorities, and follow through on commitments.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to summarize themes and recommend practical next steps.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills; able to influence and coach managers with professionalism, discretion, and a service mindset.
It would be even better if you also had...:
- Experience supporting technology and/or product teams and comfort working in fast-moving, matrixed environments.
- Experience supporting change management or process improvements (e.g., rolling out new processes, creating manager toolkits, facilitating communications and training).
- Experience using people metrics/dashboards to identify trends and inform actions (e.g., engagement, retention, performance, hiring).
