Overview
Client is seeking a Senior Power Platform Developer with a strong focus on AI and automation to design, build, and scale secure, enterprise-grade Microsoft Power Platform solutions. This is a senior-level contract role for a hands-on expert who can independently deliver complex applications, workflows, integrations, and AI-enabled solutions in a governed enterprise environment. The ideal candidate brings deep Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse expertise, along with proven experience building AI agents using Copilot Studio and related Microsoft AI services.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI
- Design reusable components, frameworks, and development patterns that improve scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Build advanced automations, integrations, and business logic using custom connectors, error handling, and parallel workflow execution
- Design, build, and deploy AI agents using Copilot Studio and related AI services across Azure, Snowflake, SQL, and Power Platform
- Integrate AI solutions into business processes to support conversational automation, intelligent decision support, and natural language access to enterprise data
- Implement prompt engineering, orchestration logic, and grounding strategies to drive reliable, secure, and explainable AI outcomes
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Azure services, REST APIs, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, SQL, SharePoint, and other enterprise systems
- Design secure Dataverse data models with complex relationships, business rules, and role-based security
- Support governance, ALM, CI/CD, deployment automation, and source control best practices
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize solution performance, automation reliability, and platform usage
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, knowledge transfer, and architectural guidance to internal teams and stakeholders
- Contribute to Center of Excellence standards, documentation, and enterprise adoption strategies for Power Platform and AI capabilities
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- 5+ years of professional experience developing solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform
- Advanced expertise with Power Apps, including Canvas and Model-Driven applications
- Advanced expertise with Power Automate, including cloud flows, approvals, integrations, and complex workflow design
- Strong Dataverse experience, including data modeling, security, and performance optimization
- Proven experience building and deploying AI agents using Copilot Studio or similar conversational AI platforms
- Strong understanding of AI integration patterns, prompt engineering, and enterprise AI governance
- Experience integrating Power Platform with Azure services, REST APIs, and enterprise data platforms
- Solid understanding of application lifecycle management, enterprise security, compliance, and governance
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results in a contract environment
Preferred Skills or Experience
- Experience in refining, oil and gas, energy, or downstream operations
- Experience with Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, or custom LLM integrations
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Synapse, or other modern data platforms
- Experience supporting or leading a Power Platform Center of Excellence
- Microsoft certifications such as PL-400, PL-600, AZ-204, AI-102, or similar
- Experience delivering high-volume, mission-critical Power Platform solutions
