Roles & Responsibilities

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Strong budget management experience and proficiency with PM tools (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of IT program management experience, preferably in healthcare IT and cross-functional liaison

Requirements:

  • Formulate and manage the project/program management plan (scope, budget, schedule, quality) as defined by stakeholders
  • Lead cross-functional IT teams through merger integration, including Day 1 readiness and Phase II roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and assessing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity posture and technical debt to identify risks and integration costs
  • Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, control budget/spend, and produce regular Project/Program Status Reports while directing assigned resources and providing operational guidance
  • Communicate with stakeholders, coach PMO staff (including potential supervision of Assistant Directors and Junior Project Managers) and ensure governance, documentation quality and PMO effectiveness

Principal Duties:

The Sr Project Manager for Healthcare Merger and Acquisition, PMO within the IT Governance and PMO requires an individual to oversee the seamless integration of technology environments and departments, ensuring that day-one operations are stable and long-term synergies are realized without losing data and keeping to the budget.
• Develop a comprehensive "Day 1" readiness plan as well as a Phase II roadmap
• Evaluate the target company's IT infrastructure, cybersecurity posture, technical debt, etc. to identify risks and integration costs
• Coordinate between all IT departments to ensure technical shifts align with business goals

The Senior Project Manager within the Program Management Office require an individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills that will apply principles, techniques and best practices in the planning, organizing and implementation of high-profile and complex projects or programs. The right candidate must have experience preparing and managing project documentation, including scope, schedules budgets, and quality. This individual must possess sound judgement, professionalism and diplomacy.

General Tasks And Responsibilities Will Include:
• Formulates the project or program management plan, in accordance with the scope, budget, timing and quality as set by stakeholders
• Specifies the resourcing of the project, anticipated costs, risk assessment and quality standards to be used
• Leads the project team in terms of quality, spend, time, information and organization, monitoring progress and managing all assigned project resources
• Reports on Issues and Risks and may take ownership of same through to resolution
• Produces Project/Program Status Reports
• Continually follows up with internal and external project team members
• Directs assigned project resources and gives them operational guidance, technically and organizationally
• Potentially responsible for the direct management of Assistant Directors and Junior Level Project Managers
• Coaches and manages PMO staff and project team(s).

Preferred Qualifications for The Job:
CERTIFICATION(S)/NYS LICENSE(S):
• HEAVILY PREFERRED: Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired
• Certified Scrum Master

Knowledgeable In:
• Budget Management
• PM tools, i.e. MS project, Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio

Other Preferred Skills:
• Experience working in a Hospital setting/Healthcare Organization
• Experience working in an Agile work environment

Educational Level:
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology discipline with an emphasis on planning, liaison and inter-organizational relationships, or related administrative or managerial functions

Years of Experience:
• 8-10 years' experience in IT Program Management
