Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, communicative and organized Nutrition Specialist who is passionate about treating obesity as a disease to improve the myriad chronic health conditions associated with weight- including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea and more- to join our team. In this role, you will see patients via telehealth and work with a multidisciplinary team including medical providers and exercise physiologists to provide best-in-class care and outcomes for your patients - communicating with them both synchronously and asynchronously. This role is perfect for those who want a flexible working schedule and the ability to work from anywhere.
Minimum Requirements
We are looking for health coaches with:
at least a 4 year Nutrition and Dietetics degree, with at least 1 year experience coaching lifestyle and habit changes using nutrition and exercise. The Nutrition Specialist will work closely under a lead NS to provide evidence-based obesity science and nutrition advice.
Must reside in the US or legally allowed to work in the United States (NPI required)
OR
We are looking for dietitians with:
Bachelor's degree in Food &/or Nutritional Science.
Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian , specifically working with patients with Diabetes or other metabolic diseases.
Current registration w/ the Commission on Dietetic Registry (CDR) in good standing.
Knowledge of clinical competencies based on Nutrition Care Standards of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
For either type of applicant:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
Strong proficiency and experience with medical technology including EMR and mobile apps.
Collaboration & problem solving skills required.
Ability to manage a large patient load and multiple platforms both in face to face and app communication.
Strong ability to empathize and connect with patients on a regular long term basis.
Experience and comfortability working with our proprietary tech app.
Past start up experience a plus but not required.
Bonus Qualifications
Previous experience in curriculum development.
Demonstrated knowledge of behavior change.
Previous individual, small group and large group/classroom training/teaching experience.
Fluency in Spanish or Arabic a strong bonus and will be compensated for.
