TEAM PHYSICAL THERAPIST OR ATHLETIC TRAINER
FREESKI PT/AT: HALFPIPE
CLASSIFICATION Contractor
LOCATION Remote
TRAVEL May 2026 - March 2027
Consultant/Contractor shall provide Physical Therapist or Athletic Trainer services for the Freeski Halfpipe team performing all duties and services needed for successful training and competition performance by athletes, as more particularly described below.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Athlete Experience
a. Direct athlete treatment / rehabilitation.
b. On hill coverage of all training and competitions as determined by the team schedule.
c. Documentation, communication and facilitation of athlete medical management.
d. Coordination with alpine performance staff and volunteer providers.
e. Participation in sports medicine special projects pertaining to injury, risk mitigation and performance medicine.
2. Operational Excellence
a. Administrative responsibilities including assisting with insurance claims surrounding injuries, injury updates, coverage at the Center of Excellence when needed, attendance of required educational activities, participation in Medical/High performance meetings and additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
Certified Athletic Trainer (NATA Certification Board) or Licensed Physical Therapist with background in sports injuries or athletic training
First Aid and CPR certified
Expert Ski and/or Snowboard ability
Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of the athlete management team including coaches, staff, athletes, and doctors
Excellent manual skills for athlete recovery and rehabilitations
Participate in all U.S. Ski & Snowboard team staff and Medical staff meetings
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical Requirements include lifting at least 50 lbs, ability to stand outside slope side or course side during training and competitions in adverse weather conditions.
