About the role:

12-month contract with regular intrastate and interstate travel
 

The Clinical Educator role is pivotal in building the capability and reliability of the clinical workforce by working in partnership with the Clinical Development Partners to deliver the clinical development strategy and the key outcomes identified by the Quality Improvement Committee. This position focuses on elevating the clinical performance of the nurses in the homes to partner with residents and others to ensure safe, reliable, and effective care outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Apply specialist knowledge and technical expertise to:

• Drive the delivery of evidence based best practice clinical training programs.
• Reinforce and embed effective clinical behavioural habits that align with best practice and Estia Health policies and procedures.
• Onsite mentoring and coaching of Registered and Enrolled nurses in professional standards, technical competence, and person-centred care delivery.
• Establish and sustain key internal relationships with the local management
  team and relevant central support services.

The ideal person will have:

• Bachelor of Nursing - currently registered with AHPRA
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in aged care or a clinically related discipline.
• Strong relationship management and advanced influencing skills.
• Experience in education delivery, delivering training plans and programs aligned to learner needs.
• Highly developed written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with key stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritise multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
