Position Summary
The Ultra Maritime Commercial function is responsible for negotiating the terms and conditions in contracts and ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions and agreeing on any changes or amendments that may arise in the management of contracts made with customers, vendors, partners or employees.Job Description
Reviews and approves all contractual documents for protection of company's contractual posture, satisfaction of government specifications and requirements, and adherence to company policy.
Advises leadership of contractual rights and obligations and also provides interpretation of terms and conditions.
Knowledge and application of knowledge of FAR/DFARS and other Government acquisition regulations.
Prepare, review, and edit contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and relevant laws.
Lead the negotiation and execution of contract amendments or extensions when necessary.
Lead and manage contract life cycle, including kick-off and close activities.
Monitor and enforce contract compliance throughout the contract's lifecycle, including tracking key milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
Maintain an organized and up-to-date contract repository, including version control, renewal dates, and related documentation.
Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts and propose mitigation strategies to protect the organization's interests.
Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact contracts and ensure all contracts comply with relevant legal requirements.
Generate reports and provide contract-related data and insights to management and other stakeholders as needed.
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) and 2 years of Government Contracts related experience
Experience managing full scope of contract support, including kick-off meetings to close out activities
May be required to maintain security clearance
Preferred Education & Experience
Advanced Degree
Direct experience in DoD or military contracting
Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS
Understanding of commercial terms and conditions
Certification in contract management (e.g., CPCM, CFCM, CCCM) is a plus
Familiarity with specific contract types (e.g., procurement contracts, service agreements, NDAs) may be required in certain industries

Expected Compensation: The expected compensation range for this role is
$69,576.00 - $86,944.00.

Ultra Maritime considers multiple factors when determining final compensation, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, a candidate’s relevant experience and education, certifications and training, as well as current business and market conditions.
