This position can be a remote position that does have some flexibility but does require some meetings through teams or in person.

Pay Range

$25.30 - $37.95

Essential Functions

Abstracts information from the patient's medical record and inputs into Electronic Registry Services Software.
Codes topography and morphology of tumor cases using ICD-O-3.
Codes data items using FORDS manual, SEER General Summary Staging manual, and TNM Staging Manual.
Completes an annual follow-up of living patients by sending physician, facility, and patient letters.
Performs casefinding procedures. Includes reviewing material to input patient information into suspense file.
Learns Oncology Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
Learns American College of Surgeons (ACOS) ten standards and policies in order to understand cancer registry functions.

Physical Requirements
Fast-paced office environment and various interruptions. Must be able to concentrate in such an environment. Involves standing, sitting, lifting, bending, walking and pushing/pulling cart of 60lbs.

Education, Experience and Certifications

Advanced computer skills necessary. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Excellent verbal and communication skills needed. Basic report-running skills.
