Schedule Details/Additional Information:

This position can be a remote position that does have some flexibility but does require some meetings through teams or in person.

Pay Range

$25.30 - $37.95

Essential Functions

  • Abstracts information from the patient's medical record and inputs into Electronic Registry Services Software.
  • Codes topography and morphology of tumor cases using ICD-O-3.
  • Codes data items using FORDS manual, SEER General Summary Staging manual, and TNM Staging Manual.
  • Completes an annual follow-up of living patients by sending physician, facility, and patient letters.
  • Performs casefinding procedures. Includes reviewing material to input patient information into suspense file.
  • Learns Oncology Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
  • Learns American College of Surgeons (ACOS) ten standards and policies in order to understand cancer registry functions.

Physical Requirements
Fast-paced office environment and various interruptions. Must be able to concentrate in such an environment. Involves standing, sitting, lifting, bending, walking and pushing/pulling cart of 60lbs.



Education, Experience and Certifications

Advanced computer skills necessary. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Excellent verbal and communication skills needed. Basic report-running skills.
