Job Description

The Direct Sales Consultant position supports various functions of Direct Phone Sales for Allstate and National General. This can include providing guidance on sales processes, interpreting RMPs, and providing coaching. Sales Consultants may also support various projects dealing with customer experience, new hire support, agency escalations, policy survival, and additional projects as assigned. This position will live into Our Shared Purpose and be responsible for achieving multiple goals, objectives, and initiatives in Direct Phone Sales business area through individual and group interactions.

Sales Consultants will wear many hats to fill a few roles throughout their day that all require a level of experience.

· The Effective Communicator – you will primarily use chat to support agents with their questions in the quoting and binding process. You may also communicate via phone, email, and occasionally video calls. You will be responsible for providing clear direction and guidance to aid in resolving complex questions and issues including interpretation of Right Answers or underwriting guidelines.

· The Problem Solver – you will confidently and independently find solutions and answers beyond the area of specialty. You will utilize multiple tools to get the job done in a fast-paced environment, using your critical thinking skills. You will also recommend solutions and collaborate with stakeholders.

· The Analyst – you will analyze processes for efficiency and anticipate potential roadblocks. You will also make recommendations to enhance effectiveness and optimization of operations.

· The Customer Service Expert – you will support agents by addressing customer/prospect escalations and concerns which may include verbal and written contact with customers.

· The Recorder – you will monitor and track contacts to identify emerging trends in contact types, report and present findings to leadership in a timely fashion. You will also provide timely updates of your accomplishments and work in any assigned projects to leadership.

· The Leader – you will influence, educate, give technical instruction and act in a leadership capacity. You will also demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of company products and Direct Phone Sales processes to provide expertise.

· The Team Player – you will be an active contributor in any capacity necessary. Sales Consultants are actively involved throughout Direct Sales, anything from chat support, to stepping in for Market Leaders, to coaching New Hires, communicating with Exclusive Agents, and more!

Current Hours of Operation:

Sunday through Saturday 8:00 am – 11:00 pm CST

Individuals may be required to work any shift offered by Direct Phone Sales. Schedules will be within the hours of operation based on business need and may include weekends.

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

· 2 or more years of related experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

· Property and Casualty license for resident state

· Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Dynamics). Knowledge of Verint, Avaya, 1View, ASC, Mural is also a plus.

· Product Knowledge: Must be able to quote all supported product lines and identify system deviations.

· Typing Skills: Proficient typing skills (40 wpm is the recommended minimum) as you may handle multiple chats simultaneously. Efficiency is key to agent and customer experience.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 52,800.00 - 80,475.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
