Roles & Responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or a minimum of two years' experience in application or website development.
Proficiency in Java and C#, with strong knowledge of .NET and Spring Frameworks.
Web development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript and experience building or consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL).
Database design/management (MySQL, Cassandra), version control (Git/GitHub), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) with cloud experience (AWS/Azure).

Requirements:

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Java and related frameworks (Spring); participate in front-end or back-end development as needed.
Collaborate on technical design with software architects and project managers to plan solutions aligned with requirements.
Develop and consume APIs, implement security measures (encryption, authentication, authorization), and perform unit and integration testing.
Implement containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS), utilize CI/CD pipelines, and manage version control (Git).

Java - Application Developer - REMOTE / US

Role and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for supporting our organization in achieving the vision of providing leading-edge technology solutions for our clients. This position will be responsible for the developing, testing, and implementation of these technologies and applications.

Application Development: design, develop, and maintain software applications using the .NET/Spring frameworks.
Front-End and Back-End Development: Depending on the role, work on front-end user interfaces, back-end server logic, and database interactions.
Technical Design: Collaborate with software architects, project managers, and other team members to plan and implement technical solutions that align with project requirements.
Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve bugs, errors, and performance issues within applications.
Testing: Conduct robust unit testing and integration testing to ensure reliability and functionality of developed code.
API Development: Create and consume web services and APIs to enable seamless communication between different parts of the application or with external systems.
Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS ECS.
Version Control: Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage and track code changes and collaborate with team members.
Security Implementation: Implement security measures to protect applications and user data, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
Assist and support other software professionals in developing solutions for business needs.
Ensure compliance of best practices and policies in software development
Maintain effective working relationships with internal personnel and external agency partners.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or minimum of two years’ experience in application or website development.

Preferred Skills

Proficiency in .NET/Spring Frameworks: Strong knowledge of Java and C#
Experience with AI assisted code development such as GitHub CoPilot and Claude Code
Web Development: Experience with web development technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Aurelia, and TypeScript.
Database Management: Familiarity with database design and management using tools like MySQL and Cassandra
API Development: Ability to create and consume RESTful APIs, web services, and GraphQL services.
Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems like Git and Github.
Containerization
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.
Debugging and Profiling: Ability to diagnose and resolve software defects and performance issues.
Communications: Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Cloud Integration: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS (EC2, S3, lambdas, API Gateway, RDS) and Microsoft Azure
DevOps Practices: Understanding DevOps principles and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.
