Requirements:

  • Represent Procurement in cross-functional teams that support day-to-day operations.
  • Lead sourcing activities, RFx processes, supplier risk assessment and onboarding.
  • Contract and claim management: lead negotiation and implementation of new contracts; lead contract renewals, amendments, and statement of work; participate in claim resolution process.
  • Supplier and category management: participate in evaluating supplier performance (KPIs, dashboards) and ensure execution of action plans; coordinate with other departments for supplier oversight; support Category Manager in strategy development and in studying CDMO market dynamics to apply category strategy.

External Manufacturing Buyer (Chemistry)

Within the External Manufacturing Procurement team, the position reports to the External Manufacturing Category Manager.
The position is based on a remote working organization with cross functional teams located in Europe and USA. Occasional travelling may be required
The External Manufacturing Buyer role has various missions related to the outsourced activities for the manufacturing of Servier medicines.
Buyer positions are open for the following categories:
•    External Manufacturing Chemistry
 
Position responsibilities:

  • Represent Procurement in cross-functional teams that support day-to-day operations.
  • Lead sourcing activities, RFx processes, supplier risk assessment and onboarding.
  • Contract and Claim Management:
    • Lead negotiation and implementation of new contracts.
    • Lead contract renewals, amendments, and statement of work.
    • Participate in claim resolution process.
  • Supplier Management:
    • Participate in evaluation of suppliers’ performance (KPI, dashboards).
    • Ensure execution of relevant action plans in case of insufficient performance.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure adequate support for suppliers’ oversight (supply chain, technical, quality, regulatory, legal, etc.).
    • Participate in preparation of Business review meetings.
  • Support in Category Management:
    • Support Category Manager in definition of strategy and review of preferred suppliers.
    • Study dynamics of CDMO market and specific technologies.
    • Apply strategy defined for category.

 

Profile requirements:

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in science and/or Master degree.
  • Experienced in direct procurement, ideally within the pharmaceutical, biomedical, or chemical industry.
  • Demonstrated solid experience in sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier relationship management, ideally in the CDMO environment.
  • Skilled in project management: set and prioritize goals, identify deliverables, perform risk/gap assessments and manage stakeholders.
  • Experienced in working in cross-functional multicultural teams. Proficient in utilizing risk management processes.
  • Ideally, well-versed in a GMP environment
  • Fluent in spoken and written English required.
