About Team:
The HR Technology team partners closely with HR stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions that support people processes across the organization. The team serves as a trusted advisor for HR‑related technology requests, supports the planning and delivery of HR application implementation and enhancement projects, and ensures consistent execution of IT service and governance processes. Working in close collaboration with the HRIS team, the HR Technology team helps maintain stable, compliant, and scalable HR systems that enable efficient operations and an improved employee experience.
Apprenticeship Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and curious HR Technology Analyst Apprentice to join our team. This role is designed for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience supporting HR systems, data, and technology-enabled processes in a regulated, global environment. As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced HR Technology professionals, learning how HR systems are implemented, maintained, and optimized to support the employee lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in technology, systems, analytics, and process improvement who is looking to build a strong foundation for a career in IT.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Technology Support & Learning
- Learn how HR technology supports core HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, and employee data management.
- Support HR application renewal process including requirements gathering and utilization analysis.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Observe and support efforts to streamline HR processes through technology and automation tools.
- Assist in documenting current-state and future-state HR workflows.
- Contribute ideas for improving user experience and operational efficiency within HR processes.
Reporting & Analytics
- Support the creation and maintenance of standard HR reports and dashboards.
- Learn how key HR metrics (e.g., headcount, turnover rates, recruiting metrics) are collected and used to inform business decisions.
- Assist with ad-hoc data requests and perform basic data analysis using tools such as Excel or reporting modules within HR systems.
User Support & Training
- Provide basic support to HR team members and end-users for HR technology questions or issues and escalate more complex issues to senior team members as needed.
Project & Change Support
- Support HR technology projects, such as system enhancements, new feature rollouts, or process improvements.
- Learn fundamental change management practices, including effective communication and training approaches for rolling out new tools or processes to stakeholders.
Compliance & Security Awareness
- Learn about compliance requirements relevant to HR data and systems (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11).
- Follow established procedures to ensure sensitive employee information is handled securely and in compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Learn about IT standards and support efforts to maintain compliance.
Education/Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong interest in HR technology and data: A demonstrated enthusiasm for HR systems, data management, and analytics.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail: Able to analyze data and processes, with a focus on accuracy and identifying inconsistencies or areas for improvement.
- Willingness to learn: Eager to learn new systems, tools, and processes. Open to feedback and continuous development.
- Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication: Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly document processes and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate): Comfortable with spreadsheets, including using formulas, filters, and basic data organization for reporting and analysis.
- Data and systems familiarity: Basic understanding of databases or data reporting concepts gained through coursework or projects.
Qualifications (Minimum Required):
- Freshers with academic projects or internships involving HR, systems, data, or technology are highly valued. (No prior direct HRIS administration experience is required—this apprenticeship is designed for learning and development.)
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Remote-based role, 5 days per week, as requested by the line manager.
- 1-year fixed-term contract.
