Trade & Working Capital is part of Global Transaction Banking (GTB), which is a core growth engine for Santander, supporting large multinational corporates with advanced cash management, trade finance, export finance and agency solutions across international markets. 

THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE 

Santander TWCS is looking for an Associate Maternity Leave in Sales Italy to be based in Milan, with primary responsibility for origination, development and portfolio management of large corporate clients. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Originate and onboard new clients, supporting the execution of guarantees, letters of credit, and working capital discounting solutions
• Manage active client portfolios of trade & working capital programs, with the objective of optimizing performance and increasing utilization levels

• Independently handle end-to-end guarantee issuance processes, coordinating with Compliance, Risk, Middle Office, Legal, and Relationship Bankers
• Support P&L analysis and contribute to monthly forecasting activities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business targets

The candidate will be part of a team of 8 professionals, providing support to the Senior Manager and contributing to overall team performance and client delivery.

 Internal Coordination & Execution 

• Support the onboarding team processing the KYC requests, ensuring timely collection, verification, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with CIB coverage teams, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Operations. 

• Support execution and post-origination phases to ensure client satisfaction and sustainable revenues. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

Professional Experience 

• Minimum 4 years of experience in: 

• Global Transaction Banking, Corporate Banking or Investment Banking coverage roles 

• Proven track record in origination of trade&working capital deals

• Experience working with complex, international corporate structures. 

Education 

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent. 

• Postgraduate qualifications (MBA, Master in Finance) are considered a plus. 

Languages 

• Italian and English: fluent (required) 

• Spanish is considered a plus
