Job Overview 

 

The Associate Client Engagement Manager supports day-to-day client engagement and execution of publications and medical communications projects across assigned accounts and projects. This role partners closely with Client Engagement Directors to ensure high-quality delivery, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction while developing the skills required for increased ownership and leadership. 

 

The Associate Client Engagement Manager plays a critical role in coordinating workstreams, managing project documentation, tracking timelines and finances, and facilitating clear communication between clients and internal teams. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is proactive in anticipating needs and solving problems. 

 

 

Responsibilities: 


Under the guidance of a Client Engagement Director, the Associate Client Engagement Manager is responsible for 


  • Supporting day-to-day client communications and serving as a secondary point of contact for assigned projects. 
  • Assisting with execution of publications & medical communications projects from initiation through completion. 
  • Supporting development of project briefs, timelines, scopes of work, and internal documentation. 
  • Coordinating project activities across internal capability teams such as Scientific, Creative & Editorial 
  • Tracking project timelines, deliverables, and milestones; escalating risks or delays as needed. 
  • Preparing client status updates, meeting agendas, recaps, and action-item follow-ups. 
  • Supporting budget tracking, forecasting, and reconciliations under the direction of senior team members. 
  • Manage entry, update, and maintenance of publication records within Datavision (or similar publications management platforms) 
  • Assisting with scope change documentation and change orders as required. 
  • Supporting the medical/regulatory/legal (MLR) review process, including document submission systems (e.g., Veeva). 
  • Reviewing materials for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client feedback prior to submission. 
  • Ensuring adherence to agency and client SOPs, compliance standards, and industry regulations. 
  • Participating in client meetings, advisory boards, congresses, and speaker programs as appropriate with limited travel required. 
  • Maintaining organized project records and documentation. 
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

 

Education and Experience  

 

Education 


  • Bachelor’s degree required (Communications, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field preferred). Advanced degree a plus. 

 

Experience 


  • 3-5+ years of experience in medical communications, medical education, pharma marketing, or related fields. 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 


  • Foundational understanding of the life sciences industry and medical communications environment 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities 
  • Familiarity with medical publication processes and industry guidelines 
  • Working knowledge of publications management tools such as Datavision 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality, accuracy, and compliance 
  • Ability to follow processes while learning when and how to escalate issues 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners 
  • Willingness to learn and grow into increased client and financial responsibility 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) 
  • Familiarity with project management tools and document submission systems (e.g., Veeva PromoMats) preferred 
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, technologies, and processes




Compensation Disclosure:


The compensation range for this role is $80,000 to $93,000 CAN. Compensation will be determined based on an applicant’s skills, competencies, experience, and qualifications. Employees may progress within this range over time based on performance, tenure, and internal equity considerations. Red Nucleus Employees may progress within this range over time based on performance, tenure, and internal equity considerations.
