Strategic Growth Partners (SGP) is seeking a Government Certifications & Compliance Advisor to support small business clients navigating federal certification programs and compliance requirements. This role is focused on advisory, execution support, and ongoing management of certifications.

The ideal candidate has deep experience with SBA programs, small business certifications, and government contracting structures, and can confidently guide clients through complex processes such as Joint Ventures and Mentor-Protégé Programs.

Workplace Type: Remote. Up to 15 hours per week; hours will fluctuate based on client needs.

Compensation: 1099, Hourly rate is open.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise and support clients through the application, maintenance, and renewal of small business certifications, including 8(a), SDVOSB, and HUBZone.

• Provide hands-on support for structuring and managing Joint Ventures (JVs), including SBA-compliant agreements and documentation.

• Support Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP) applications and ongoing program compliance.

• Guide clients on certification strategy, eligibility, and positioning within the federal marketplace.

• Manage certification lifecycles, including annual reviews, updates, and recertifications.

• Manage SAM profiles.

• Support SBA reporting requirements, audits, and compliance reviews.

• Review and advise on documentation related to ownership, control, affiliation, and eligibility.

• Stay current on SBA regulations, program updates, and policy changes.

• Work directly with clients in an advisory capacity, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timeliness across all efforts.

What This Role Is Not:

• No requirement to manage full contract execution or program delivery.

• No administrative-only processing role; this is a strategic and execution-focused advisory position.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting SBA small business certifications, including 8(a), SDVOSB, and HUBZone.

• Strong working knowledge of SBA regulations, including eligibility, affiliation rules, and program requirements.

• Direct experience with Joint Ventures and Mentor-Protégé Programs, including structuring and compliance.

• Experience supporting SBA audits, reporting, and annual review processes.

• Background in government contracting (prime or subcontractor environment).

• Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a consulting or advisory capacity with external clients.

• Familiarity with SAM.gov, SBA certification portals, and related systems.

• Understanding of broader GovCon strategy, including set-aside positioning.

• Proactive and able to operate independently with minimal oversight.

• Client-facing with strong communication and advisory skills.

• Able to balance multiple clients and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
