Overview:
The Insurance Specialist will play a critical role in servicing and processing transactions for the Bank’s loans where insurance coverage is required. The Specialist has contact with customers, agents and frequent contact with other employees in all lines of business within the Bank and acts as the main point of contact on insurance and coverage requirements.
What You’ll Do:
- Contacts agents and customers to obtain current insurance policy information as needed to prevent lender placed insurance
- Ensures data accuracy in system of record as related to collateral and insurance requirements
- Calculates and validates adequate insurance coverage requirements
- Ensures that loans and insurance comply with all related bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborates with the Centralized Flood team to resolve flood zone disputes as related to lender place insurance
- Communicates with lenders, credit partners, and customers to ensure proper coverage exists to protect the bank
- Provides on-going support to customers and lending staff as needed for insurance questions
- Monitors shared inbox and insurance queue to process insurance submissions in a timely manner
- Responsible for the tracking and daily monitoring of vendor reports for all consumer, mortgage, and commercial loan insurance activity
- Reviews and validates the timeliness and accuracy of lender placed insurance policies
- Assists with processing and reconciling weekly lender placed insurance premiums and refunds
- Assist relationship managers on insurance due diligence items in a timely and accurate manner
- Participates in all required compliance training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, or other education events as assigned by Loan Ops and Bank leadership
- Adheres to Corporate and Loan Operations policies and procedures as prescribed

- Demonstrates exceptional organization and time management skills and ability to balance competing priorities to meet multiple deadlines
Requirements For Success:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with retail and commercial lending regulations and policies
- 2 or more years’ experience related to loan documentation, due diligence, and processing
- Proficient knowledge of regulatory insurance requirements; particularly flood insurance in accordance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA)
- Knowledge and understanding of insurance policies and the various types of coverage

Pay Range:
USD $38,769.00 - USD $57,876.00 /Yr.
