Roles & Responsibilities

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B integrated marketing (digital, relationship, social media, campaigns), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related field, or a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field with 3+ years' B2B marketing experience, or equivalent.
  • Preferred: 3+ years' experience in the software development industry.
  • Preferred: 2+ years' experience with marketing analytics tools and technologies (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce, PowerBI).
  • Preferred: Experience in brand positioning, storytelling, and messaging to drive customer engagement, plus experience in A/B testing, growth marketing tactics, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

Requirements:

  • Analyze key performance indicators for programs, products, or audiences to identify insights and present findings during regular business review meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement marketing campaigns, programs, and promotions aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Define and manage the execution of test-and-learn experiments with engineering and analytics teams, and recommend actions based on the results.
  • Oversee brand consistency across all marketing channels and materials, ensuring communications align with the company's brand values and messaging; manage and optimize marketing budgets to maximize ROI.

Overview:

GitHub is expanding its Marketing team and seeks experienced professionals to enhance our marketing efforts. As a Marketing Manager, you will analyze key performance indicators and collaborate on marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will take part in shaping GitHub’s marketing strategies, driving impactful campaigns that reach developers worldwide while gaining valuable insights into data-driven decision-making, market trends, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze key performance indicators for programs, products, or audiences to identify insights that influence marketing and business planning decisions and present these insights during regular business review meetings.
  • Assist in developing project management plans to ensure the successful delivery of low complexity projects and support senior colleagues by leveraging existing resources to manage project scope and resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement marketing campaigns, programs, and promotions for specific business areas, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Define and manage the execution of test-and-learn experiments to enhance business outcomes, often in partnership with engineering and analytics teams, and recommend actions based on the results.
  • Support the development of stakeholder relationships, escalate issues as needed, and engage with team members to analyze results, identify themes, and generate business recommendations.
  • Track customer feedback and work with customer support teams to develop engaging customer experiences, ensuring that diversity, inclusion, and accessibility are considered.
  • Examine performance data and trends to develop insights and make recommendations for corrective actions and optimization, sharing relevant details with internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee brand consistency across all marketing channels and materials, ensuring that all communications align with the company's brand values and messaging.
  • Manage and optimize marketing budgets to maximize ROI, ensuring that all marketing activities are cost-effective and aligned with business goals.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in business-to-business (B2B) integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or a related field,
    • OR bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years' experience in business-to-business (B2B) integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or a related field,
    •  OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience working in the software development industry
  • 2+ years' experience working with marketing analytics tools and technologies (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce, PowerBI)
  • Experience in brand positioning, storytelling, and messaging to drive customer engagement and differentiation in the market.
  • Experience in A/B testing, growth marketing tactics, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) is a plus.
