  • Provide in-depth IT operations support for Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS, including patching, image management, hardware repair, and core network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Manage endpoint security and device management (antivirus/EDR, disk encryption with BitLocker/FileVault), ensuring rapid security patching across the fleet

SUMMARY:

Customer is looking for an experienced System Administrator to manage and secure our digital workspace, with a primary focus on administering our Google Workspace ecosystem. This role combines high-level SaaS administration with core IT operations, ensuring the health, security, and efficiency of our environment. Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms is highly valued as we maintain and secure our endpoint fleet.   The candidate should be able to work full-time, and it is desirable for the work shift to be set to cover first shift hours (8-5) in IST.

PRIMARY DUTIES: 

  • Google Workspace Administration (Primary): Manage the complete Google Workspace ecosystem, including mail routing policies, email gateways, identity management, and troubleshooting complex mail flow issues. Leverage knowledge of GCP to support cloud-based applications.
  • Automation & Scripting: Utilize GAM (Google Apps Manager) and scripting languages (PowerShell, Shell, Python) to automate routine administrative tasks, reporting, and IT operations.
  • Desktop Engineering & IT Operations: Provide in-depth engineering support for Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS, including patching, image management, hardware repair, and core network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).  Assist to position environment from a relatively small deployment of ChromeOS to much larger populations (from less than 50 to 1000),
  • Endpoint Security: Manage endpoint protection (Antivirus/EDR), enforce disk encryption (BitLocker, File Vault), and ensure rapid security patching across the fleet.
  • Device Management (MDM): Assist in deploying, configuring, and ensuring compliance across company devices using MDM/UEM tools.

EXPERIENCE:

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Remote

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: 32-40 hours a week

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Familiarity with project management tools and processes.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Ability to interact with leadership and staff at all levels.
  • Strong problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent documentation skills; demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint  
  • Collaborative team worker – both in person and virtually using MS Teams or similar
  • Ability to work as liaison between business and information security / information technology
  • Flexibility to accommodate working across different time zones
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with strong spoken and written English
  • Business outcomes mindset

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

COMPENTENCY: Demonstrated experience in Systems Administration and MDM/UEM (Tanium/JAMf)
