Medical Biller

Job Description

Skilled Wound Care is looking for a Medical Biller to join our rapidly growing company! We are a mobile surgical physician wound care group expanding into new markets of the United States. 

Responsibilities:

• Use coded data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies
• Work directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed and paid
• Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims
• Verify patients’ insurance coverage Answer patients’ billing questions Handle collections on unpaid accounts

Qualifications:

• Good verbal and written communication
• 1-2 years of medical billing experience required
• Medical billing diploma or work experience Lytec or Medisoft experience a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Full time work from home position
• Must be willing to work the graveyard shift - Will be working US hours
• This is an independent contractor role
