Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Department: Sales 

Reports To: RavenTek Sales VP

Location: Ashburn, VA with ability to telework

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: Full-time, 40-hours/week

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) will assist in driving new business, using various sales methods and techniques. The ISR will assist the sales team administratively. They will develop and maintain internal and external customer relationships, work with vendors, and manage sales cycles with support of the corporate back office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive new business through inbound/outbound calls and targeted telemarketing campaigns.
  • Proactively schedule and facilitate meetings with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Attain and maintain vendor certifications to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Channel team to design, execute, and optimize marketing campaigns, driving engagement and revenue growth.
  • Complete deal registration when applicable.
  • Run market research using various tools such as: Govly, Sam.gov, GovWin, EFAST, etc. 
  • Work with vendors and attend meetings when required.
  • Travel to and attend various sales events and follow up on leads from those events.
  • Manage incoming and outbound sales calls, inquiries, and status requests.
  • Work with back office and Procurement team to submit orders.
  • Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.
  • Complete required compliance training as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft and Office 365.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Education & Work Experience

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business or information technology, or 2 years’ experience in related field.
  • Minimum 6 months experience working with vendors.
  • Previous experience working with Federal customers is preferred.

Special Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to successfully pass corporate background check. 

Work Environment

Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs regularly.


Physical Demands

To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee must be able to lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically up to 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
