Job Summary
The Mortgage Loan Analyst is responsible for reviewing, underwriting, negotiating, and recommending mortgage loan transactions across new originations, refinances, and administrative actions. This role evaluates commercial real estate, analyzes financial statements, reviews third‑party reports, and prepares underwriting materials to support loan origination, investor relations, closing, and servicing. The position also contributes to portfolio reporting, market research, and cross‑department workflow to ensure efficient loan operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review, underwrite, negotiate, and recommend new loan originations and refinances within established guidelines.
  • Analyze borrower and tenant financials, organizational structures, and third‑party reports.
  • Prepare underwriting spreadsheets, commitment letters, and documentation for extensions, assumptions, modifications, and other loan actions.
  • Support communication and workflow between underwriting, investor relations, closing, and servicing teams.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio reports, models, and market research to support mortgage investment decisions.
  • Conduct property site inspections and provide analytical support to the investment division.
Skills and Background You’ll Need
Education: Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, accounting, or a related field

Experience: 2+ years of experience in commercial mortgage lending, real estate investment, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of commercial mortgage lending practices, legal documentation, and real estate valuation concepts.
  • Proficiency with financial analysis, underwriting techniques, and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret and present financial and underwriting information clearly.
  • Experience with mortgage loan databases or investment analysis software.
  • Familiarity with real estate market research and portfolio reporting.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.

Salary Range:

$52,750.00 - $77,500.00
