Requirements:

  • Provide PMO leadership and end-to-end program management oversight for the TransAct ERP transformation, managing the lifecycle from ideation to closure using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Lead program governance, interdependency management, RAID, risk mitigation, and ensure SDLC and audit compliance; establish operational rhythms and governance reviews.
  • Drive portfolio capability maturity and data/technology enablement, including prioritization, capacity planning, standardized metrics, data integrity, and ClickUp as the enterprise PPM system of record with executive dashboards.
  • Directly manage PMO team and contractors; conduct performance reviews, coach for delivery rigor, risk management, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Manager, PMO TransAct to be located in New Brunswick, NJ. Remote work options may be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the Company.

Purpose:

The Senior Manager, PMO (M2) is a critical leadership role within Finance Solutions & Technology (FS&T), responsible for end-to-end program management oversight and holistic portfolio capability advancement across the ERP Transformation space, specifically focused on TransAct business outcomes.

This role balances base business execution with structured capability building and people leadership. Both base business delivery and capability advancement are core performance expectations and are reflected in performance evaluations.

The Senior Manager partners across Finance, FS&T, JJT, Consolidation, Global Services, and enterprise PMOs to drive cross-program planning, interdependency management, risk mitigation, and governance rigor aligned to the FDTO Integrated Roadmap.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Program Delivery

This component represents delivery of core business commitments and enterprise transformation objectives.

Responsible for program/project management oversight and driving large complex programs & projects throughout the full project life cycle - from ideation, planning, resourcing, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure using both waterfall and agile methodologies.  Manage PMO activities in support of the overall program which primarily include:

  • Provide PMO leadership & oversight of FS&T led programs across TransAct business outcomes on the integrated roadmap. Key Program Management responsibilities include:
  • Project Schedule Management & key milestones utilizing the Integrated Reporting Framework (IRF)
  • Ensure workplans adhere to standardized WBS structures and PMO playbook guidelines
  • Project Integration, Inter/Intra Dependency Management
  • Risk, Action, Issue and Decision Management (RAID)
  • Scope & Project Change Management
  • Resource Plans & Management
  • Financial Management
  • Communications & Status
  • Ensure compliance with SDLC, FDTO governance standards, and audit requirements.
  • Stand up key operational rhythms and Governance reviews aimed at execution of the ERP transformation roadmap related to TransAct
    • Lead meetings with business, technical and global representatives regarding the project activities, timeline, and issues.
    • Articulate project status, key issues, and dependencies to all levels of management.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to improve integrated reporting efficiency and governance effectiveness.

Leadership, Communication, and Relationship Building

Contribute as an active and engaged member of the ERP PMO team. Cultivate a close working relationship with cross-functional core team leads in order to understand overall requirements and identify risks and opportunities. 

Capability Building – Portfolio & 360° Maturity Advancement

This component focuses on holistic portfolio capability maturity across people, process, data, and technology, culminating in scalable automation and digital enablement.

Portfolio Governance & Prioritization

  • Support structured intake and prioritization aligned to strategic objectives.

Capacity Planning & Resource Transparency

  • Lead demand vs. supply modeling across ERP teams.
  • Support Quarterly capacity review cycles and forward-looking resource forecasting.

Process & Interaction Model Maturity

  • Strengthen governance forums and escalation pathways.
  • Improve cross-functional interaction models across Finance, FS&T, and JJT.
  • Standardize execution metrics, dependency tracking, and reporting discipline.
  • Review and provide feedback on all key project management deliverables to drive improvements in overall program and project quality and delivery excellence.

Data & Technology Enablement

  • Champion Click Up as the enterprise PPM system of record from a business lens.
  • Drive roadmap transparency, executive dashboards, and milestone visibility.
  • Ensure portfolio data integrity.
  • Partner with tool administrators to evolve configuration aligned to business needs.
  • Drive automation opportunities that stem from mature processes and interaction models.

Capability building is equally important as Base Business and is a key component of performance evaluations.

People Leadership & Development

  • Provide direct accountability for PMO team members and contractor resources.
  • Conduct performance reviews aligned to Johnson & Johnson Leadership Principles.
  • Coach team members on:
    • Delivery rigor
    • Risk management discipline
    • Executive communication
    • Portfolio governance standards
  • Build PMO capability maturity across program and portfolio management.
  • Develop bench strength and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
  • Post-graduate degree preferred.
  • Professional project management certification (PMP) and/or diploma is preferred.

Experience:

  • Detailed knowledge of project planning, tracking, resource management, project planning, scheduling tools, and cross-project analyses is required
  • Demonstrated experience delivering on projects of various sizes & durations. Highly adaptable to changing needs within the organization - adapts to rapidly changing priorities. Strong technical aptitude - experience with Finance or SAP implementations
  • Industry experience is required
  • 7+ years of Project Management of enterprise-wide implementations
  • Finance experience is preferred (Finance processes and/or technology)
  • ClickUp experience is preferred
  • Portfolio management experience is preferred

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00
