Requirements:

  • Analyze and forecast financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions; collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and economic indicators for senior management.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to functional teams, advising on programs or functions and delivering recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance; influence operations within the Wisconsin Medicaid (WI Medicaid) segment and identify opportunities for operational changes.
  • Analyze the financial implications of proposed investments or transactions, and evaluate alternatives against the organization’s business objectives; perform financial modeling, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Support regulatory filings, audits, and policies required under the Wisconsin Medicaid contract, acting as an advanced subject matter expert and collaborating across knowledge and functional areas to enable senior leadership decisions.

The Financial Planning & Analysis Principal analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. The Financial Planning & Analysis Principal provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s). Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience.

The Financial Planning & Analysis Principal collects, compiles, verifies, and analyzes financial information and economic indicators so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions.  This individual is expected to solve highly complex problems and work alongside senior leadership to achieve strategic goals across the WI Medicaid segment.  This role will analyze the financial implications of proposed investments or other transactions so that senior managers can evaluate alternatives against the organization’s business objectives.  The individual will also have significant influence on functions within the segment operations and will identify opportunities to initiate operational changes, where needed.  This role analyzes revenues, expenses, costs, rates, profits, and market trends, and may involve financial modeling, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.  This role advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas including regulatory filings, audits, and policies that are required under the Medicaid contract in WI for the products supported.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree, in some instances a Master's or Doctorate's degree
  • 10 or more years of Medicaid finance and/or accounting experience
  • 2 or more years of formal project/people leadership to support complex decision making and collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred skills

  • Experience with Wisconsin Medicaid or Programs

Additional Information

In this role you will report to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.

This role will have very minimal travel based on business need.

This role is an individual contributor.

This role is fully remote within the US.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$138,900 - $191,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
