Job description

Location: Altona North | Full-Time, PM Shift

Team Global Express is looking for an experienced Senior Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations at our Altona North Depot.

This role is responsible for managing teams, coordinating resources, and ensuring safe, efficient operations across the branch. You’ll play a key role in driving performance, meeting KPIs, and supporting a strong team culture.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and supervising operational teams across the site
  • Planning and allocating labour and equipment to meet daily demands
  • Monitoring performance, productivity and labour costs
  • Managing attendance, leave and day-to-day team issues
  • Supporting customer outcomes by ensuring freight is handled safely and delivered on time
  • Working closely with drivers, contractors and internal teams
  • Identifying and improving processes to increase efficiency
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, transport and legislative requirements
  • Supporting training, onboarding and performance management

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in transport, logistics or a fast-paced operational environment
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of safety and compliance requirements
  • Good communication and people management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions under pressure
  • Basic computer skills and experience using operational systems
