We’re currently hiring Field Service Technicians to support our growing Industrial division. In this role, you’ll be the face of Bizerba within your region, providing service for scheduled jobs, emergency repairs, and installations for equipment such as industrial scales, X-ray systems, metal detectors, vision systems, touch screens, and labelers. This position requires a customer-focused mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. We’re also excited to offer a fully paid, 11-week training program to help you build the technical skills needed to succeed in the role. The training course takes place in Richmond, VA, beginning June 11, 2026, for Bizerba to provide service for select locations ONLY:

*The ideal candidate should live within a 2-hour radius by car of the territory advertised. Upon completion of training in Richmond, you will return to your assigned territory*
Your tasks
- Perform equipment installations and/or service at various customers' locations locally and nationwide if necessary.
- Perform scheduled work on Preventive Maintenance Programs and Service Contracts
- Responsible for maintaining a personal parts stock.
- Annual inventory counts must be within -5% discrepancy.
- Provide technical support for customers and distributors, including on-call support on a rotational basis, to include on-call checking shared email folders and answering service calls.
- Perform remote service and e-service.
- Training skills include the ability to perform demonstrations of equipment capabilities, function, and maintenance to operators and maintenance Crews.
- Handle technical correspondence with key customers.
- Communicate technical issues and problems to head Industrial office and work together on solutions.
- Prepare, communicate, and publish technical documentation for regular installations and projects.
- Comply with company objectives as regards to budget goals and profits, and in fulfilling reporting requirements
- Accurate and consistent logging in ADP and SIS
- Closing out work order tickets on time with descriptive details
- Detailed daily reporting of services provided to customers.
- Timely expense reporting
- Responsible for proper upkeep and maintenance of the provided company service vehicle(s)
- Responsible for keeping the spare parts in new/sellable condition and safe packaging.
- Responsible for the proper upkeep of company-issued equipment, including tools, equipment, phone, laptop, and so forth.
Your profile
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year technical school or college
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills are a must.
- Able to travel frequently, up to several hours of driving per day, possibly. Must be open to on-call and occasional weekends and/or overnight travel. Typical travel is 50-80% plus overnight. (Food stipend and travel expenses covered)
- Excellent customer service skills, as this position acts as the “face” of the Company.
- Must possess basic computer skills and knowledge.
- High level of integrity and work ethic, including being energetic and self-motivated
- Able to work independently and remotely with project teams.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a criminal background and driving record check, as well as a pre-employment drug screen.
