Requirements:

  • Assist with QCA audits, clear third-party diligence exceptions when assigned, and report findings or trends to the QCA III and manager; participate in process improvements and mandatory regulatory training.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Quality Control Auditor (QCA) II is responsible for validating the quality and accuracy of mortgage loan packages. Assist in satisfying internal QC findings, custodian exceptions, and investor diligence questions to help facilitate loan trades and securitizations with Capital Markets. 


In this position you will: 

  • Adequate working knowledge of the mortgage loan process.  
  • Understand, proofread and review loan documents, including but not limited to the loan application, HOI policies, final loan documents, Title documents, and all applicable compliance documents.  
  • Analyze the assigned file data and loan document QC findings to determine if any issues exist and what could be a concern. Report any issues to the QCA III or manager.  
  • Research documentation and data for validity and communicate any corrections required from internal or external parties to reconcile conditions 
  • Obtain all corrected document conditions with SLA timeframe from underwriters, processors, closers, closing agents, and other third-party participants to the loan to satisfy open findings 
  • Note or comment on inadequate or missing documentation and report on the assigned QC reporting platform.   
  • Assist with QCA audits. 
  • Assist in clearing third-party diligence exceptions when assigned. Notify QCA III and the manager of errors or issues that cannot be corrected and documentation errors for reporting trends. 
  • Supports and communicates effectively with internal and external parties, department specialists, team lead, and manager on findings, issues, or questions. 
  • Perform other duties and accountabilities as management may from time-to-time assign. 
  • Participate in identifying process improvement opportunities within the department. 
  • Complete annual regulatory compliance training.  
  • Supports development of peers and self.
  • This position may involve handling confidential and sensitive information as part of its daily responsibilities. Employees are expected to exercise discretion and protect all sensitive data, including but not limited to personal information, loan details, business and financial records, and proprietary materials.
Requirements

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Associates’ Degree from an accredited college required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or a combination of education and experience. 
  • 2-3 years of post-closing or due diligence auditing required. 
  • Working knowledge and use of MS Office and internet. 
  • Experience working with company LOS a plus.
