  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training
  • 1 year of simulator-related experience in electronics/avionics, automated systems, or computer networking repair and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics; knowledge of analog and digital theory
  • Basic skills in operating test equipment; soldering and circuit board repair; some knowledge of PCs and MS Office tools; able to travel up to 10%

Requirements:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on simulators and associated systems; assist in diagnosing routine problems
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight tasks on designated simulators; run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG) and conduct basic visual alignments
  • Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities; assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications; complete required training activities
  • Provide customer service support and address customer needs; manage logistics duties (parts receipt, repair, testing/validation); perform housekeeping and administrative tasks; work primarily at the Las Vegas Training Facility in Nevada; travel ≤10%

CAE, one of the largest business aviation training facilities, is looking for a Simulator Technician in our newest training center in Las Vegas, Nevada.  In this role you will perform preventative maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.

Description

  • Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems.

  • Assist in diagnosing and correcting routine problems on simulators and associated systems.

  • Perform pre‑flight and post‑flight tasks on designated simulators.

  • Perform basic visual alignments.

  • Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).

  • Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.

  • Complete all designated training activities.

  • Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.

  • Learn and comply with CAE’s quality management system.

  • Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.

  • Perform logistics duties, including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation.

  • Perform housekeeping functions to maintain simulators as required.

  • Perform required administrative tasks.

  • Work primarily at the Las Vegas Training Facility in Nevada.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2‑year technical degree or equivalent related training.

  • 1 year of simulator‑related experience in one of the following:

    • Electronics/avionics

    • Automated systems

    • Computer networking repair and troubleshooting

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics.

  • Knowledge of analog and digital theory.

  • Basic skills in operating test equipment.

  • Basic skills in soldering and circuit board repair.

  • Some knowledge of PCs and MS Office tools and suite.

  • Able to travel (less than 10%).
