  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in the development and transformation of business/solution architectures and business models in the context of large enterprises, primarily at the logical level.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and business information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Frame creative and advantageous business, technical, and operating solutions that increase revenue, market share, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Customer Solution Consultant (Telecommunications)

Leverages telecommunications industry, technology, and business knowledge to lead conversations with our clients designed to identify business challenges and leverage the full portfolio of CSG solutions, products, services, and partners to provide innovative and relevant solutions to solve those challenges.

The Customer Solution Consultant works with our telecommunications clients (e.g., mobile, fixed, cable, broadband, converged and digital service providers) to understand and align their strategic goals and objectives with the appropriate solutions, products, and services.

The Customer Solution Consultant then frames creative and innovative business, technical, and operating models, including commercial models, that increase revenue, market share, improved customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Responsibility

  • Tailor the strategy and solution to the customer.
  • Frame creative and advantageous business, technical, and operating solutions that increase revenue, market share, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Create proposals.
  • Respond to RFP’s, RFQ’s and proactive bids while working closely with all teams to develop the win strategy, competitor evaluation, and differentiated value propositions.
  • Develop a business and solution architecture strategy based on situational awareness of the customer’s business scenarios and motivations.
  • Build business cases for customers to justify new business models and/or business architecture.
  • Guide solution design teams to create the relevant technical architecture, solution, and service design that is fit for solution, business criticality and commercial viability.
  • Collaborate and partner with the pursuit lead (Sales) to develop and execute an integrated and multi-faceted account plan that is compelling, engaging, and relevant to the drivers of business transformation within the account.
  • Orchestrate communications with internal teams, clients, and 3rd party stakeholders.
  • Bring all various teams together and drive them in the pursuit of winning the opportunity.
  • Execute the bid and account plan.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Service Delivery, Product, Transition, and R&D teams for content development on pricing, transition plan, tools and technology proposals, and effort estimates.
  • Work with teams to articulate responses to requests for information to showcase company capabilities and strengths in the specific telecommunications domain.
  • Prepare compelling collaterals – case studies, presentations, and reusable content for customer solution walkthroughs and sales pitches.

Drive for results

  • Meet or exceed assigned quotas while maintaining an elevated level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the sales, delivery, product, strategy, and solution teams by contributing to the identification and development of new or expanded go-to-market offerings.
  • Engage in business development activity with the Sales lead to create future opportunities within existing and new accounts.
  • Create and drive opportunities to closure in collaboration with the pursuit/sales lead.

Deliver new and disruptive insights to the customer

  • Leverage telecommunications industry, technology, solutions, and business knowledge to lead conversations with our customers to identify client challenges and provide recommendations.
  • Track telecommunications industry, market trends, and competitive threats.
  • Understand and apply their implications to the customer business.
  • Lead the client to discover the full breadth of the CSG product, solution, service, and partner capabilities.
  • Build a network of customer relationships.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events.
  • Research changes in the telecom/communications industry and changing value propositions.
  • Create points of view, whitepapers, and articles working with SMEs.

Strategic Nature of Engagement

  • Must be able to engage on your own in medium / large and global customers.
  • Identify opportunities, work with stakeholders, and engage with sales leaders to build the commercials and value proposition and help close the deal.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • This job requires domestic and/or international travel up to 70%.
  • Incumbent is accountable for professional working behavior to include: building and maintaining constructive working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem solving while demonstrating CSG’s core competencies and values.

Experience

  • Ability to think about business in a way that is abstracted from how business functions are implemented by technology.
  • Ability to lead customer engagements at multiple levels.

  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and business information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences.
