JOB SUMMARY

Avid Technology is seeking for an Information Security Analyst to join our team.

As an Information Security Analyst at Avid you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our digital assets, systems, and networks. You will be responsible for identifying potential security risks, implementing protective measures, analyzing security incidents, and contributing to the overall security posture of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Threat Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor, triage, and analyze security alerts and events to detect, investigate, and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Incident Response: Lead and support incident response activities, including real-time investigation, containment, and remediation.
  • Security Tools Management: Configure, manage, and continuously optimize security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Security Architecture & Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and improve security controls, processes, and best practices.
  • Vulnerability Management: Proactively identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities across systems and applications.
  • Threat Intelligence & Awareness: Maintain awareness of emerging cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and industry trends, applying insights to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation including incident reports, security procedures, and response playbooks.
  • Security Engineering Support: Support security engineering initiatives and contribute to ongoing security projects and improvements.
  • Security Awareness & Training: Deliver security awareness guidance and training to employees, promoting a strong security culture.
  • On-Call & Incident Coverage: Participate in on-call rotations and ensure timely response to security incidents to support continuous (24/7) operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related fields.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working in cyber security roles, with a strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM solutions, and vulnerability assessment tools.

In addition to the qualifications listed above, the preferred candidate should possess the following technical skills, certifications, and behavioral competencies:

Technical Skills & Certifications

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud environments
  • Experience with desktop troubleshooting and system administration
  • Understanding of penetration testing, network security, and techniques to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
  • CompTIA Security+ certification

  • Analytical & Critical Thinking: Ability to assess complex security events, identify root causes, and make sound, risk-based decisions
  • Problem Solving & Incident Handling: Applies structured approaches to analyze and respond to security incidents in time-sensitive situations

  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Works effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams

  • Proactive Security Mindset: Anticipates threats and continuously seeks to improve the organization’s security posture

Salary Range (for Poland-based Candidates): MIN 106,424.00  to MAX 159,636.00 PLN/Annual

The salary range shown reflects the company's good faith full target range for this position at the time of posting. The company may update or modify this range at any time and endeavors to keep this posting current. Compensation decisions are based on factors including geographic location, experience, skills, education, and business needs. While the full range is posted for transparency, offers are typically made within the lower to middle portion of the range.
