Roles & Responsibilities

  • Direct management/leadership experience and knowledge of FAR/DFAR (preferred).

Requirements:

  • Owns the strategy, planning, and execution of all Procurement Manager responsibilities in support of all programs.
  • Acts as the main PMO focal point for the Procurement team and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure all supply chain commitments are met.
  • Develops the strategy and leads the Procurement activities for Global Supply Chain (GSC).
  • Leads procurement team execution and is accountable for resource planning, purchase requisition management, purchase order management and documentation, and adherence to processes and procedures; manages onboarding and daily engagement of the Procurement team.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Manager Supply Chain Programs 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Weapon Systems Division. This leadership role is a Telecommute position.

Job Description:

  • Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all Procurement Manager responsibilities in support of all Programs.

  • Acts as the main focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for the Procurement team and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met.

  • Develops the strategy and leads the Procurement activities for GSC.

  • Leads supply chain Procurement team execution and is accountable for resource planning, purchase requisition management, purchase order management, purchase order documentation, and adherence to processes and procedures.

  • Responsible for the management, on boarding, training, and daily engagement of the Procurement team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Our position emphasizes skills, this position requires a minimum of 12 years of experience.  We will consider a Bachelor degree plus 8 years of experience or a MS with 6 years of experience.

  • Previous Supply Chain Management experience is required.

  • Experience managing/developing a team of Supply Chain professionals.

  • Prior Purchasing / procurement, Business Management, Project Management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree is highly desired

  • Direct management/leadership experience

  • Purchasing / procurement experience

  • Subcontracts experience

  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR

  • Ability to take ownership and makes decisions based on the customer and overall business needs

  • Acts with speed and understands the need to act with a sense of urgency to meet the needs of the business and stakeholders

Primary Level Salary Range: $121,000.00 - $181,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
