  • Develop predictive analytics and forecasting models; translate business questions into analytical frameworks; validate models; embed analytics outputs into reporting; collaborate with stakeholders to define use cases
  • Own and manage the molecule mapping process; maintain dashboards that provide visibility into molecule pipeline and sales activity; ensure data completeness and accuracy; monitor data quality and provide ad hoc reporting and documentation

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. 
  • Create clear and compelling data visualizations that communicate key metrics, trends, and business performance. 
  • Optimize dashboards for performance, usability, and scalability. 
  • Maintain and enhance dashboards as business requirements evolve. 
  • Incorporate forecasting results, trends, and key drivers into dashboards to support proactive decision-making. 
  • Data Modeling, Analytics & Integration 
  • Build, manage, and optimize data models using Power BI (DAX, Power Query). 
  • Create and maintain relationships between data sources while ensuring accuracy and integrity. 
  • Develop complex calculations, measures, and KPIs using DAX. 
  • Connect Power BI to multiple data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Excel, APIs, cloud platform). 
  • Transform, cleanse, and prepare data using Power Query (M language). 
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and trends. 
  • Develop and maintain analytical and predictive models to support forecasting scenario analysis, and performance optimization. 
  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to identify business drivers, risks, and opportunities. 
  • Advanced Analytic & Data Science 
  • Design and implement predictive analytics and forecasting models to support commercial planning and strategic initiatives. 
  • Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and models. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to define use cases for advanced analytics and data science solutions. 
  • Validate analytical models and ensure results are interpretable, accurate, and actionable. 
  • Embed advanced analytics outputs into reporting and visualization solutions for broader adoption. 
  • Commercial & Molecule Mapping Analytics 
  • Own and manage the molecule mapping process, ensuring accurate and timely capture of molecule-related data in partnership with Sales. 
  • Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards that provide visibility into molecule pipeline, sales activity, and performance. 
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial stakeholders to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and adoption of molecule capture processes. 
  • Monitor data quality and resolve gaps impacting molecule-related analytics and reporting. 
  • Documentation & Reporting 
  • Document data sources, transformations, business logic, and data models. 
  • Prepare and maintain user guides and training documentation for stakeholders and end users. 
  • Provide ad hoc and scheduled analytical report as required. 
  • Collaboration and communication 
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, understand, and translate reporting and analytical requirements. 
  • Collaborate with IT team and other analysts to support scalable analytics solutions. 
  • Present insights, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Act as a trusted analytics partner to support data-driven decision-making. 
  • Continuous Improvement 
  • Stay current with Power BI enhancements, analytic tolls, and industry best practices.  
  • Recommend improvements to reporting, analytics processes, and data models. 
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data models, reports, and visualizations. 
  • Contribute to the ongoing maturity of analytics and data science capabilities across the organization. 

Required Skills/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data-focused
  • Life sciences experience highly preferred.
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard design. 
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation. 
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytics outputs into actionable business insights. 
  • Preferred experience with predictive modeling, forecasting, or machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, time-series analysis, classification). 
  • Preferred experience with using Python or R for data analysis and modeling. 
  • Preferred familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern analytics architectures. 
  • Preferred experience applying advanced analytics in commercial, sales, marketing, or life sciences context. 
  • Preferred ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of advanced analytics solutions. 
  • Must be fluent in the English language to interact with stakeholders  

Salary and Benefits:

  • For California, the base salary range for this position is $89,600-$116,600. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
