Requirements:

  • Document all work performed on tablet technology, complete work orders to capture parts usage and labor, and perform parts inventory counts.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on electrical systems, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, small engines (fuel systems, oil and air filtration, ignition), and weld repairs on equipment and trailers.
  • Perform aerial lift inspections according to required checklist; check GPS units on equipment and ensure they are activated and properly checking in, and coordinate with IT as needed.
  • Follow shop safety protocol and operate a forklift to load, unload, and move equipment and materials in the shop and yard.

Schedule is Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 5:30PM.

Position Purpose:

Responsible for the repair and maintenance of machines in the rental fleet, including earth-moving, aerial, landscaping, and material handling equipment. Work ranges in scope from general repairs and maintenance, up to more complex repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems and diesel engines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • 10% Administrative Work - Documents all work performed on tablet technology, including completion of work orders to capture parts usage and labor, performing parts inventory counts, etc.
  • 40% Perform Advance Troubleshooting and Repairs - Performs advanced electrical system troubleshooting and repairs; Performs advanced hydraulic system troubleshooting and repairs; Performs diesel engine troubleshooting and repairs; Performs troubleshooting and repairs on small engines, including fuel systems, oil and air filtration systems, ignition systems, etc.; Performs maintenance and repairs on trailers; Makes welding repairs to equipment and trailers
  • 30% Perform Inspections and Audits - Performs aerial lift inspections according to required checklist; Documents all work performed on tablet technology, including completion of work orders to capture parts usage and labor, performing parts inventory counts, etc.; Checks GPS units on equipment and ensures they are activated and properly checking in, and troubleshoots with IT team as needed
  • 20% Safety - Follows shop safety protocol, including proper storage of supplies and fuel, proper disposal of waste oils and fluids, and proper lifting and moving of materials and equipment; Safely operates forklift to load, unload, and move equipment and materials in the shop and yard

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).


Working Conditions:

  • Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
