  • Full independent Tennessee license (LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT, or equivalent) required.
  • Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field (or related field with 24 graduate-level hours in psychology, social work, counseling, or other behavioral health coursework).
  • Clinical experience required (practicums/internships accepted) with competency in diagnosis, treatment planning, and DSM-based assessment; experience with telehealth is a plus.
  • Proficiency with computer/EHR systems and ability to work independently in a fully remote setting; familiarity with short-term therapy models and evidence-based practices is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Formulate diagnoses at intake and provide therapy services based on assessment and DSM guidelines; develop and update treatment plans per policy.
  • Complete timely clinical documentation and maintain accurate EHR records.
  • Respond to supervisory communications and urgent clinical needs in virtual or face-to-face settings; deliver services to clients statewide.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in client care and monitor issues that could impact the program or organization.

💻 Fully Remote Therapist – Licensed in Tennessee

You’re a Great Fit If You

:•    Hold a full independent TN license (LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT, or equivalent)

•    Are self-motivated and comfortable working independently

•    Use research-driven, evidence-based clinical practices and comfortable with short term therapy models

•    Can adapt quickly to new technology and processes

•    Have experience (or interest) in group therapy and telehealth

•    Keep EHR documentation current and accurate•    

Bonus: Experience with Phreesia or similar platforms, experience working with children in a virtual therapy setting, bilingual

             

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to formulate a diagnosis upon completion of intake assessment
  • Complete timely clinical documentation
  • Create and update treatment plans according to policy
  • Provide therapy services based upon assessment of clinical needs and diagnosis
  • Respond to supervisory communication including urgent care situations and other clinical needs as applicable in virtual or face to face settings
  • Keep administrative supervisor informed of all potential issues that could impact the program or the organization         
  • Respond to needs of clients in a timely and professional manner
  • Demonstrate good clinical judgment in client care        

       

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to successfully utilize computer/electronic equipment and software

QUALIFICATIONS

         

Education Requirements

  • A Master’s degree is required in one of the following fields: Clinical Psychology, Mental Health (MH) Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and/or a specialization in MH Counseling

OR

  • Applicants with a Master’s degree in a related field (outside of the disciplines listed above) must meet the following criteria:
    • Completion of at least 24 graduate-level semester hours in psychology, social work, counseling, or other behavioral health-related coursework.
    • Relevant coursework and work experience in the following areas:
      • Clinical treatment and treatment planning
      • Appraisal and assessment of mental disorders
      • Psychopathology
      • Use of the DSM for diagnostic purposes within a clinical internship or practicum in a behavioral health setting

Years of Experience       

Clinical experience is required. This may be fulfilled through clinical practicums or internships completed as part of a master’s degree program.

Certification/Licensure 

Must have LCSW, LPC-MHSP or LMFT-MHSP license.
