Job Summary

Acrisure is seeking a Claims Representative to join our team. This is a fully remote position for candidates located in Montana and is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the insurance industry. In this role, you will support the claims team by processing claims, handling documentation, and assisting with communication related to minor injury and routine claims. The position involves a mix of administrative work, email communication, and some phone interaction, helping ensure claims are handled accurately and in a timely manner.

This role is well suited for someone who is organized, detail oriented, and motivated to learn. Training will be provided to help you build a strong foundation in claims handling and grow within the organization. No prior claims experience is required. We provide training for individuals who are motivated to learn and grow within the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

  • Process and review claims involving minor injuries and routine pay and close cases
  • Examine claim forms and related documentation to determine coverage
  • Maintain accurate and up to date claim files, including documentation and reserves
  • Review and process medical bills and claim related expenses
  • Issue payments to claimants and providers in accordance with company procedures
  • Communicate with internal team members and external contacts via email and phone
  • Handle general inquiries and assist with billing related questions
  • Refer more complex claims or issues to a supervisor or claims representative
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to claims examiners and representatives
  • Help ensure claims are processed efficiently and without unnecessary delays

Requirements

  • Must reside in Montana due to regulatory/compliance requirements (open to any city in the state).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working in a remote environment and managing daily responsibilities independently
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems and processes
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and help keep tasks moving forward
  • Previous office, administrative, or customer service experience is helpful but not required

Education and Licenses

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Additional education or relevant training is beneficial but not required

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
