Job Description:

GDIT is looking to hire a SR. SYSTEMS ENGINEER PRINCIPAL

The qualified individual will be a Senior technical authority for system architecture supporting vehicle telemetry and analytics.

This position provides critical technical expertise in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF). You will help design and implement cutting-edge, data-driven systems that collect, interpret, and report performance information on high-performance vehicles and their sub-systems. Your work will enable advanced insight into logistics, operational performance, predictive maintenance, and lifecycle extension for these mission-essential platforms. Responsibilities

  • Lead MBSE practices and system requirements development.

  • Architect resilient edge-to-cloud telemetry systems.

  • Define real-time processing patterns and low-latency ingestion.

  • Integrate cybersecurity controls and Zero Trust architecture.

  • Lead verification/validation strategy and readiness assessments.

  • Produce architecture artifacts and conduct design reviews.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • BA/BS with 10+ years systems engineering experience.

  • Deep expertise in distributed systems and cybersecurity.

  • Experience with MBSE and interface protocols.

  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance

Preferred

  • Experience with digital twins or safety-critical systems.

Suggested Technical Stack

  • MBSE Tools: Cameo, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect.

  • Languages: C/C++, Rust, Go, Python, TypeScript.

  • Messaging: DDS, MQTT, Kafka, gRPC.

  • Security: OIDC, mTLS, Vault, STIG compliance.

The likely salary range for this position is $147,292 - $199,278. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
