Job description

At Coco, we’re dedicated to perfecting the last-mile delivery experience. We strongly believe the delivery service industry in its current state is massively under-serving merchants, and we are committed to creating a frictionless, reliable, and sustainable delivery experience for merchants and their customers in cities everywhere.

Coco is growing exponentially by offering merchants a fundamentally better delivery experience. Deliveries are faster, food quality stays higher, and kitchens run more smoothly. Cities are excited to see Coco reduce traffic and emissions, and thrilled to have a service that provides more cost-effective and consistent delivery for local businesses.

As Director of Government Relations for the Eastern U.S. and Canada, you'll report directly to the VP, Head of Government Relations. You will manage Coco’s introduction to new markets and maintain relationships with policy makers and community stakeholders in our active markets. You will be responsible for securing policy frameworks that support the safe and sustainable operation of our service across your region. The ideal candidate will have deep experience running multiple government relations strategies simultaneously and have a strong network of contacts to leverage across the region.

  • Collaborate across departments to plan Coco’s expansion strategy in the region

  • Grow your team to support expansion across the region

  • Hire and manage teams of policy consultants

  • Track legislation relevant to Coco’s operations in your region at the city, county, and state levels
