Requirements:

  • Identify Coastal Region growth opportunities as they relate to existing customer lists and support Division Managers and sellers in executing sales strategies
  • Collaborate closely with key Division leadership and Marketing to identify market potential as it pertains to specific growers not currently doing business with Nutrien by shelf in order to grow our grower customer base and customer purchases
  • Utilize analytics to provide data-driven insights that optimize sales approaches to drive share growth across the Seed, Chemical and Fertilizer shelves to include new and existing customer base
  • Deliver customer, industry, and business climate insights that enhance the sales process, new customer acquisition and inform decision-making

The Region Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying regional growth opportunities and enabling Division Managers and sales teams with the resources, insights, and support needed to drive effective market share growth. This role partners cross-functionally, particularly with Marketing and Nutrien shelf leadership, to support new business development and strengthen the region’s overall portfolio growth.

 

What You'll Do:

 

  • Identify Coastal Region growth opportunities as it relates to existing customer lists and support Division Managers and sellers in executing sales strategies
  • Collaborate closely with key Division leadership and Marketing to identify market potential as it pertains to specific growers not currently doing business with Nutrien by shelf in order to grow our grower customer base and customer purchases
  • Utilize analytics to provide data-driven insights that optimize sales approaches to drive share growth across the Seed, Chemical and Fertilizer shelves to include new and existing customer base
  • Utilize new and existing tools and services to grow customer base. Tools and services would include, but not be limited to Nutrien Financial Services, Agronomy/Innovation Farms and an expanded proprietary product line of crop protection products and seed
  • Deliver customer, industry, and business climate insights that enhance the sales process, new customer acquisition and inform decision-making
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert in the Ag Retail space with a highly specialized skill set
  • Influences best practices within the discipline and leads complex, high-impact initiatives
  • Operates with significant autonomy and exercises independent judgment
