Applications Engineer

The Role:

The Applications Engineer is a customer-facing technical expert supporting EPC Power’s growth within hyperscale and AI data center markets. This role operates at the intersection of technical sales, systems architecture, and advanced customer support, serving as the primary technical authority throughout complex sales and deployment cycles.

  Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical interface for hyperscale and AI data center customers 
• Lead pre-sales technical strategy, solution design, and value positioning 
• Support complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from concept through execution 
• Architect inverter-based power and energy management solutions 
• Deliver executive-level technical presentations and customer briefings 
• Provide advanced technical support and lead technical escalations as needed 
• Partner cross-functionally to influence product roadmap and technical direction 
• Develop reference architectures, application notes, and technical collateral 
• Travel up to 25% to support customers and sales initiatives

Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field 
• 5+ years of experience in applications engineering or technical sales engineering 
• Direct experience supporting hyperscale and/or AI data center environments 
• Strong expertise in one or more of the following: BESS, UPS, inverters, or mission-critical power systems
