Who we are:
What started as a crazy idea to run a 24+ hour relay through the mountains of Utah has grown into one of the most recognized endurance event series in the world. With unforgettable races in iconic locations and a community so passionate they tattoo the brand on their bodies, Ragnar has built something rare. It’s an experience people come back to year after year.
Ragnar is a core part of FitLab and serves as the foundation of the Events division.
FitLab is the home of Sport Lifestyle. Built for those who see fitness and wellness as identity, not obligation. Operating at the intersection of functional training and immersive experiences, FitLab brings together high-performance products, community-driven experiences, and premium brands that deepen engagement beyond the workout.
The focus going forward is simple. Deliver safe, exceptional events. Improve the underlying economics. Expand into new formats and experiences over time.
The role:
The General Manager, Events leads the Events division within FitLab, with Ragnar as the primary business today.
This leader works closely with the FitLab leadership team to align on priorities, resources, and long-term direction, while driving day-to-day execution across the division.
We are looking for someone who can operate at both levels, in the details of event execution and in building a scalable, repeatable model for growth.
What you will do:
Physical demands and work environment:
As part of the Events team, the physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
You may be asked to work onsite at events as part of your role. When working onsite, there may be physical demands outside routine job functions. These include spending extended periods of time at large outdoor events, the safe operation of utility carts and box trucks, and the use of power and hand tools.
Certain event activities may involve transporting equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, working in moderate to loud environments, and utilizing vision across a range of conditions, including close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Not all functions will be required in all situations, and reasonable accommodations will be made where appropriate.
Travel Requirements:
This role includes travel to events as part of onboarding and ongoing leadership of the Events division. At a minimum, this includes attendance at five events during the first season, across both road and trail formats. Each event may require approximately four days of travel, inclusive of onsite event support. Travel expectations are based on business needs and may evolve over time.
