  • Utilize fraud detection/tracking tools and support reporting needs; calculate overpayments, log savings, and document recovery plans; support analytics and process improvements

Job description

The Group Benefits Operations Integrity Department whose accountabilities include Fraud Risk Management for health, dental, drug and disability claims is looking for an analytical, self-motivated individual with strong disability management knowledge and a risk mindset to join them in the role of Disability Integrity Specialist on the Disability Integrity Operations Team.  

 

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential fraud and abuse issues and manage these investigations from identification to resolution. 

  • Collaborate with case managers, and others to ensure all appropriate parties understand next steps to maintain the integrity of the fraud investigation.

  • Dialogue with parties, including legal, privacy, compliance, investigators, police, vendors and customers assessing risk and bringing cases to conclusion.  

  • Utilize a variety of tools for fraud detection and tracking and support various reporting needs as required. 

  • Engage in opportunities to create efficiencies and improve processes through collaboration with direct Team and others.   

  • Calculate overpayments, log savings, and document recovery plans. 

  • Support fraud management projects including analytics.  

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive disability management knowledge, ideally min. 5 years across benefit lines (STD, and LTD).

  • Solid contract knowledge.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to influence and negotiate, with internal and external partners.

  • Analytical, research, problem solving and decision-making skills. 

  • Strategic thinker (experience weighing risks vs. benefits while seeing the big picture objective of managing fraud risk). 

  • Strong attention to detail (comprehensive case assessments).
