Requirements:

  • Assist the Claims Quality Assurance Manager in leading the RFP project, including goals, timelines, and technical requirements.
  • Conduct interviews and workshops with internal departments to define requirements and outline functional specifications for the new software.
  • Conduct market research to identify top-tier claims file review software vendors and benchmark them against defined specifications.
  • Manage communications with prospective vendors regarding the RFP, questions, submission deadlines, and schedule vendor presentations; provide regular updates to leadership on progress and milestones.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Claims Quality Intern will drive the research, needs assessment, and vendor selection process for a new claims file review software solution. This individual will act as the primary liaison between Claim Quality and other California Fair Plan (CFP) departments to gather requirements, conduct vendor market research, and facilitate demonstrations to ensure the selected technology enhances file review efficiency and accuracy. 


PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Assist the Claims Quality Assurance Manager in leading the Request for Proposal (RFP) project, including project goals, timelines, and technical requirements.
•    Conduct interviews and workshops with internal departments to define requirements, identify pain points in the current auditing process, and outline functional requirements for new software.
•    Conduct market research to identify top-tier claims insurance file review software vendors.
•    Analyze, compare, and benchmark potential software vendors against defined functional and technical specifications.
•    Manage communications with prospective vendors regarding the RFP, questions, and submission deadlines.
•    Schedule and facilitate vendor presentations.
•    Provide regular updates to department leadership on RFP project progress, risks, and milestones.
•    Adhere to Federal and State laws and regulation.
•    Any other duties needed to help fulfill the Associations Mission, abide by the Association’s Values, and fulfill the Association’s Strategic Objectives.  


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
•    Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree
•    Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors. 
•    Analytical, proactive, and exceptionally organized. 
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•    Proficiency in Excel and data analytics tools for data comparison. 
•    Able to work independently and as a part of a team.


Compensation$20.00/hr.
