Requirements:

  • Provide education about diabetes treatments and related resources to patients via phone, video, email, and SMS, following program guidelines and not providing medical advice
  • Engage in one-on-one patient communications from a home-based workspace to support persistence and adherence, with accurate documentation
  • Demonstrate strong time management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; build relationships with customers and cross-functional partners
  • Maintain proficiency in MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and deliver effective presentations and interpersonal communication; adhere to the schedule: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST, Mon-Fri

Patient Educator - Certified Diabetes Educator – West Region (PST) – Remote 

We are excited to announce that we are currently looking for a Patient Educator (PE) to join our team. The Patient Educator (PE) will provide education about specific diabetes treatments, and resources to help patients better begin and manage their diabetes and resources associated with their prescribed medication. PE’s are responsible for participating in one-on-one communications with enrolled patients by telephone, video platforms, email and SMS strictly following the guidelines of the program. Since the program is strictly educational based, PE’s do not provide medical advice or work clinically within this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Must work from a dedicated workspace in their primary home residence
  • Experience with direct patient interaction and support for persistence and compliance
  • Demonstrated time management skills; planning and prioritization skills; ability to multi-task and maintain prioritization of key projects and deadlines
  • Demonstrated effective presentation skills; excellent interpersonal (written/verbal/virtual) communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently fast-paced work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with customers and cross-functional partners
  • Fully competent in MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Excellent documentation accuracy
  • Drive and enthusiasm for supporting patients
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills

Schedule

  • 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST Mon - Fri

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ year as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)
  • Complete understanding and application of principles, practices, and standards in diabetes care directly with patients
  • Must reside in country where the job is posted.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse, Registered Dietitian, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacist, or other relevant certifications that are Healthcare relate
  • Contact Center Experience using a telephony platform
  • Bilingual (i.e., fluency in Spanish and English)
  • Motivational Interviewing experience

The potential base pay range for this role is $102,000-$115,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
