As an outpatient Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, Crossroads currently serves 9 states (PA, VA, TX, TN, NC, NJ, KY, GA, and SC) with over 100+ clinics since 2005. Position Summary:
Crossroads’ Clinical Applications is a department whose primary directive is to support the clinical model in order to improve health outcomes for those battling substance use disorders. We are seeking an experienced EHR Director to lead end-to-end delivery of Electronic Health Record (EHR) initiatives across a multi-state healthcare environment. This non-technical role will drive implementation, optimization, and integration of clinical and revenue cycle systems, ensuring alignment with operational, financial, and patient care objectives.
The Director of Clinical Systems & EHR Operations is responsible for leading the operational, clinical, and user-facing aspects of the organization’s EHR platforms as well as interfacing with key third party vendors. This role focuses on workflow optimization, user support, training, and system adoption to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care across all sites.
This is not a technical IT role.
Day in the Life
Ability to lead multiple EHR-related projects (implementations, integrations, upgrades and optimization)
Identify opportunities for business optimization through use of existing system technology and operational capabilities to influence short- and long-term initiatives.
Work across departments to collaboratively design, develop, document, train, and implement new data solutions and processes based on stakeholder needs.
Develop and deliver presentations to leadership on key project status and expectations.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders with minimal supervision and align resources with project timelines in support of the Vice-President’s overall departmental expectations
Enthusiasm for a fast-paced environment, continual change, and learning corporate applications/new software products as necessary to fully support the business.
Establish governance and prioritization structures
Lead change management for system updates
Manage analysts, training, and support teams
Manage the helpdesk to ensure tickets are triaged, assigned, and resolved quickly across the team.

This role can be remote, but will need to travel into the corporate office as needed (Greenville, SC).
Education and Experience Required
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal skills, will have demonstrated experience supporting key decisions through detailed analytics, and will thrive in a culture that fosters corporate, professional, and personal growth mindsets.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Master’s preferred, with relevant subject matter knowledge, and demonstrated commensurate experience.
- 8 - 10+ years in successful EHR systems design and successful implementation
- Proven experience with leading teams to drive end to end process improvement through the effective allocation of resources both within span of control and key stakeholders
- Solid Proficiency in using Excel along with experience in Power BI or similar database reporting environments.
- Experience with healthcare technology systems. Experience with EHR systems (Epic, eCW, Cerner etc. with preference for Medgen, Methasoft or Carelogic)
- Demonstrated leadership with strong focus on value creation and successful ROI
- Solid Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present findings to senior management.
- Strong executive trust with a commitment to excellence
- Clinical workflow expertise with previous direct oversight for communication and key stakeholder alignment
