Position Overview:

The Head of Commercial Finance (FP&A) reports to the Chief Financial Officer and serves as the primary finance partner to the President, Brand & Commercial, with close engagement with the President, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Leadership Team.

This role provides independent, objective, and fact-based financial leadership across the commercial agenda—balancing growth ambition and brand strategy with financial discipline, risk management, and long-term shareholder value creation via margin expansion in a public-company environment.

The role anchors the company’s commercial finance discipline across the weekly trade, monthly Management Operating Review (MOR), semi-annual Latest Estimate (LE), and annual budget cycles, ensuring a consistent, credible, and well-governed financial view from short-term execution through long-term strategy.

The Head of Commercial Finance must be oriented towards the future with a bias towards: “what/so what/now what” actions.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to the Commercial business while leading a team of finance business partners across Brand/Marketing, Retail, Ecommerce, Wholesale, and Regional leadership.
  • Shape and challenge strategy through a luxury lens, balancing growth, scarcity, brand equity, and margin sustainability.
  • Provide financial input on pricing architecture, channel strategy, and geographic expansion while acting as a credible challenger within a strong partnership model.
  • Own commercial planning across budget, forecast, and long-range plan.

  • Lead forecasting across demand, revenue, and consolidated gross margin, incorporating long product lifecycles, seasonality, tourism, and regional variability.

  • Implement scenario-based planning and drive accountability for forecast accuracy.

  • Own insight into revenue and gross margin drivers including price realization, mix, FX, and channel economics.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Supply Chain to link demand, inventory, and margin outcomes.
  • Lead financial evaluation of brand-led investments including marketing, flagship network decisions, and digital initiatives.
  • Design ROI frameworks suitable for luxury businesses and ensure post-investment tracking feeds back into future decision-making.
  • Provide independent financial oversight, clear documentation of assumptions, and transparent communication of risks and trade-offs.
  • Ensure alignment with internal controls, disclosure standards, and Board-level expectations. Support CFO and Executive Team preparation for Board and Executive Team discussions.
  • Play a central role in weekly trade reviews, monthly MOR, semi-annual Latest Estimate, and annual budget cycles.
  • Ensure insight consistency across time horizons and support no-surprises escalation and decision-making.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing commercial FP&A team. Set standards for analytical rigor and executive communication, mentor future finance leaders, and build bench strength.
