The Senior Analyst for Global & Domestic Transportation is a high-impact role that bridges the gap between local logistics and international trade. This role is responsible for the strategic design and daily oversight of the end-to-end movement of goods. This role manages both domestic "last-mile" and "middle-mile" logistics (Truckload, LTL, Rail) and international freight (Ocean, Air, Customs).

Modal Analysis: Evaluate and execute transportation modes to balance urgent inventory needs against transportation spend, (e.g. shifting from Air to Ocean or Intermodal to truck).
Carrier Management: Partner with 3rd party Managed Transportation provider and Global freight forwarder to ensure smooth daily operations and assist with RFP processes.
Last-Mile & Parcel Strategy: Oversee the parcel network (UPS, FedEx, Regional), managing rate quotes and strategies.
Drayage & Inland Logistics: Coordinate the critical link between ports/rail ramps and inland warehouses, minimizing costly demurrage and detention fees through proactive scheduling
Customs & Documentation: Create and facilitate the flow of international shipping documents (Commercial Invoices, BOLs, etc.) and partner with internal trade compliance team to ensure compliant global shipments.
International Logistics: Manages and facilitates shipments based on volume and capacity, and expediting with vendors as business dictates
Incoterm Strategy: Manage shipments under varying Incoterms (e.g., EXW, FCA, DDP) to balance risk and freight spend.
Forwarder Relations: Serve as the primary partner with external Global Freight Forwarders, ensuring space protection and competitive ocean rates.
KPI Dashboarding: Build and maintain real-time visibility dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
Cost Management: Analyze "Freight as a % of Sales," "Cost per Kilo," and "Accessorial Spend" to identify leakage.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or Data Analytics.
Experience: 5+ years in Transportation logistics, with at least 2 years specifically focused on international freight or customs.
Technical Skills:
Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Macros).
Experience with ERP (SAP S/4HANA) and TMS platforms.
Certifications: APICS (CSCP/CLTD) or Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) status is highly desirable.
