Roles & Responsibilities

  • Graduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Paint Technology, or PG in Chemistry.
  • 5-7 years of relevant coatings industry experience with a proven track record in Farm Equipment and Construction Equipment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships; proficient in MS Office and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of paint formulation and application processes; ability to travel extensively and collaborate across functions.

Requirements:

  • Lead the technical service role for OEM customers in Farm Equipment and Construction Equipment segments for liquid Industrial coatings; coordinate activities with Technology, Marketing, Sales, and other business units to support program/product strategies.
  • Develop sustainable relationships at multiple levels of OEMs and manage OEM-related projects, trials, and new product introductions with the Technology team.
  • Conduct trials, establish new products on customer lines, obtain OEM approvals, and monitor testing parameters; organize trainings and audits at Tier-1 vendors.
  • Translate customer needs into product offerings/solutions, influence customers, manage multiple projects and tasks, and lead cross-functional teams with data-based decision-making.

Job description

Lead the Technology support to Industrial OEM customers especially in the field of Farm Equipment / Construction Equipment manufacturing in support of Axalta’s high bake / low bake coatings portfolio. This will include the development and application of products, processing techniques, and the resolution of complex online problems.

 Establish new products in the market. Customer facing role by proper coordination of the activities with other functions (Technology, Marketing, Sales) and other business units in support of program/product strategies.

Essential Functions

·Lead the technical service  role for the OEM customers in Fram Equipment’s & Construction Equipment’s segment for liquid Industrial business in the said territory.

·Development of sustainable relationships at different levels of OEM customer.                                                                                                                                       

·Implementation / Monitoring / Coordination of OEM related projects.

·Conducting trials and establishing new products on customer line with the help of Technology team.

·Adding New Product approvals at OEM

  • Checking and monitoring short and long term testing parameters at customer end
  • Conducting / organizing various Trainings & audits at various Tier-1 vendors of OEM.
  • Handling trouble shooting activities related to product & Colors through technical team

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Chemical Engineering/ Paint Technology/PG in Chemistry.
  • Adept at working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience working in a global environment a plus.
  • Knowledge of paint formulation and Paint application processes.
  • Must possess at least 5-7 years of relevant coatings industry experience with proven track record in the Farm and Construction equipment Industry
  • Ability to influence customers and establish strong customer relationships.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and leading multi-functional teams without direct control.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with data-based decision-making capability.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into product offerings / solutions.
  • Strong communication skills along with Proficiency in MS Office is a must with presentation skill. Experience using SalesForce.com and information databases a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate and build teamwork is essential.
  • Ability to travel extensively based on need.
