Roles & Responsibilities

  • BS/BA degree in a related discipline with 8+ years of experience, or MS/MA degree with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Contract Management Systems
  • Experience in vendor management and category management including supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and governance
  • Willingness to travel (some limited travel within the US) and ability to operate in a multi-cultural environment; English required, bilingual in Chinese preferred

Requirements:

  • Identify current trends in R&D systems (CTMS, safety, regulatory systems) and develop category strategies for the function and studies
  • Lead and support business engagement to understand digitalization and automation requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to implement category strategies
  • Develop effective partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders; lead Category Management to consolidate and manage vendor spend and oversee supplier relationship management, performance, issue resolution, risk, and governance
  • Oversee MSA and rate-card negotiations and contracting execution to maximize value from external providers

Job description

This position will be responsible for R&D system category strategy development, like CTMS, Safety system, and regulatory system, etc., vendor selection and supplier relationship management.

This position will also be partnering with key stakeholders to identify digitalization and automation opportunities through market intelligence, bring in advanced tools to support business automation to achieve functional automation goals, and facilitate implementation to realize organizational efficiency

This position will also be responsible for vendor management including strategic relationship maintenance, issue solution, performance tracking and governance meeting organization to ensure quality oversight of suppliers; maximize the value obtained from partnerships with external providers.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Identify current trends in R&D system evolving in the industry

  • Lead and support Business engagement to understand their digitalization and automation requirement and develop category strategy for function and study

  • Develops effective partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Lead and support the Category Management to consolidate and manage vendor spend

  • Lead and implement Supplier Relationship Management

  • Vendor performance management and issue resolution and risk

  • Oversee key MSA/rate card negotiations with vendors

  • Category effective contracting and execution

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • NA

Education Required:

  • BS/BA degree in related discipline and 8+ years of experience; or,

  • MS/MA degree in related discipline and 6+ years of related experience; or,

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:   

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Contract Management Systems

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience in multi-culture working environment.

Travel:

  • Some limited travel within the US may be required

Language:

  • English, with preference for bilingual in Chinese

Salary Range: $141,600.00 - $191,600.00 annually

BeOne is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
